Cebu, Philippines — NUSTAR Resort and Casino has officially announced the launching of its highly anticipated VIP Gaming Area in mid-September of 2022. This is the most luxurious addition to the already opulent architectural marvel of Cebu’s newest tourism complex.
The VIP Gaming Area will feature table games with personalized services to all NUSTAR card-tiered members. They used social media as the immediate platform to let the public know of this event. There are also plans to have exclusive perks in dining and hotel stays, considering that the traffic for tourism will have a remarkably high figure in the coming holiday season.
Overcoming the pandemic was also a challenge in finding the perfect time for the VIP Gaming Area to be born. The recent Omicron scare proved to be disruptive in the plans for the launch but resulted in getting all details down pat. The VIP Gaming area’s launch was attended by partners, patrons and property executives.
Future plans and management focal points of NUSTAR
Universal Hotels and Resorts, Inc., a privately-owned company, and the mover behind NUSTAR Resort and Casino has also cited its future business plans focused on gaming and integrated resort development across the Philippines. They have partnered with the Philippine conglomerate, Gokongwei Group to carry this out with great expectations met.
NUSTAR will be focusing on the meeting, incentive, conference, and exhibition niche (MICE). The MICE market in the tourism industry is dedicated to planning, booking, and facilitating conferences, seminars, and other events — considered the highest revenue contributors to tourism globally.
In the upcoming months for NUSTAR Resort and Casino located on Kawit Island, Cebu, will be three hotel towers, namely Nustar Hotel, Grand Summit and Fili Urban Resort. There will be 1,000 rooms, all designed as setting the standard for luxury accommodations. NUSTAR Hotel will be catering to discerning guests. Grand Summit Hotel will be for MICE participants and professionals. The Fili Urban Resort is aimed to be the first true Filipino Five-Star grand hotel.
NUSTAR Resort and Casino is also strategically designed to maximize the beautiful vista of Cebu’s east coast. Just the casino itself will reach an area of 21,000 square meters, with 1,500 slot machines and 500 tables.
“There were a lot of steps that we have to look at in planning NUSTAR and the most critical of them all is putting together world-renowned designers and bringing in some of the finest architects, engineers, hoteliers, retailers, dining and hospitality, entertainment, and MICE professionals to work together. Without the input, guidance, and expertise of all these fine professionals, we wouldn’t be able to culminate this beautiful project,” says Hammond, vice president of Gaming Operations for NUSTAR Resort and Casino.
Upcoming features of NUSTAR
NUSTAR will be the venue for showcasing the global Filipino lifestyle and culture. This will also be underpinning the integrated resort’s themes on design and the highest standards of service. Such activities like gaming, shopping, dining, leisure and entertainment will be found in NUSTAR Resort and Casino making it a milestone in tourism and gaming development in Cebu.
The Visayas region will also see a collection of elegant ballrooms, exhibition halls, a convention centre, and its first live performing arts theatre equipped with state-of-the-art technology and ultramodern facilities. Capping the casino resort’s features will be the viewing deck and theme park that will be placed on top of NUSTAR Hotel Tower. This will offer a 180-degree view of Mactan and Cebu City.
For the entire fam bam, there will be a sprawling four-floor retail space at The Mall housing globally renowned labels, high fashion boutiques, luxurious VIP cinemas and dining concepts that include Mott 32 — a famous food and beverage brand from Hong Kong.
There will be a marina boardwalk as well that wraps around the pool where people will be able to enjoy the views, the mood and the vibrant atmosphere of Mactan and Cebu city. This will all be completed within three years with the first phase opening towards the holiday season of 2022.
